PERSONALIZED HANDWRITING JEWELRY

We were so excited when we learned the process of engraving handwriting onto our jewelry. It’s the perfect way to create a keepsake that you will cherish forever. With that, has come lots of questions about what can and cannot be done. So I’ll answer some of the questions here to help put you at ease when order. To get more news about photo bracelet, you can visit koalaprint.com official website.

Q: What is handwriting jewelry? Is it a font?

A: It’s not a font! It’s your actual, personal handwriting that is laser engraved on a piece. You provide a photo of Grandpa’s signature from an old letter, or a short message you want to write to your wife. Then after some graphic design magic, we import the photo to our engraver and put the exact writing onto the piece!

Q: I don’t want to give you my precious paper with the handwriting on it. How can I give it to you?

A: Just snap a photo with your phone or camera! Currently, you can email it to us at georgie@georgiedesigns.com. We soon hope to have the capability to upload your photo with your order when checking out.

Q: How much text can I fit?

A: Each piece is different. Things like money clips and bottle openers can fit a lot more than a bracelet or necklace. The jewelry was designed for short messages, or the signature of a love one who has passed. The more text you have, the smaller it will need to be engraved. I recommend short phrases. For a handwriting bracelet, I don’t recommend more than 15 characters per line, 3 lines maximum. For a necklace, a little shorter. We can range the text to fit best but it’s generally a good idea to keep your messages short. Like, “I love you! Daddy” or “You’ll always be my little girl”. If it’s much more than that, they text gets pretty small.

Q: My paper is from an old letter from my Nana and it’s wrinkled and written in the column of my favorite book. Can you work with that?

A: Usually the answer is Yes! We have yet to come across handwriting that we couldn’t do. If the piece requires significant editing, we may contact you before beginning your piece about an additional fee, but that’s not very common. Just take the photo in good lighting, daytime light preferred, and make sure it’s not blurry.

Q: I’m nervous that I’m going to do something wrong when I order. Will you contact me if there’s a question?

A: Absolutely! We are real people here at georgie designs and if you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to contact us. And if your order isn’t crystal clear when it comes through, we will reach out to you before completing it!
