Adderley was widely considered the top free safety in the entire draft and the fact that the Chargers were able to snag another first round talent all the way at the end of the second round was incredible.Two-for-two is always how you want to start the draft because it then allows your team to snag the best player available instead of continuing to reach on need. With pick #91 in the third round, the Bolts selected Trey Pipkins, an athletic, prototypical-NFL left tackle from Division II Sioux Falls in South Dakota.WinnersKansas City Chiefs: The Chiefs are an easy selection to the “winners” section because they were able to snag what should be three starting players on day two.Juan Thornhill was a favorite of mine and if the Chargers missed on Adderley, he was my guy for them to take. With elite-elite athleticism and production, Thornhill is likely going to pair nicely with Tyrann Mathieu in the back-end of that secondary. Khalen Saunders is going to be a nightmare in the middle of that defense playing next to another athletic DT in Chris Jones. It’s this pick that I believe will cause the Chargers to go for an interior offensive linemen here on day three. There other pick wasn’t a pick surprise following the recent news dump of Tyreek Hill as the Chiefs selected wideout Mecole Hardman from Georgia. Hardman possesses true 4.3-speed and will likely fall right into that role as things aren’t looking good at all for Hill’s future with the team, or the NFL for that matter.New England Patriots: The defending Super Bowl Champions were able to sit back and let some stud players fall to them at each of their three picks on day two. Their first of the night was Chase Winovich Rayshawn Jenkins Jersey , a twitchy, high-motor player from Michigan who will slot right into the void left by Trey Flowers. Running back Damien Harris was their second pick of the evening and now gives the Patriots two running backs capable of carrying the load, should they ever choose to commit to just one guy in a lead role. They ended the third round by selecting offensive tackle Yodney Cajuste out of West Virginia. This is one of the better steals from yesterday (should medicals check out) as Cajuste was widely considered a late day one/early day two selection before injuring himself during a workout. He has a meanstreak that’s refreshing to watch and some nice footwork, to boot.Oh yeah, the Patriots also nabbed Joejuan Williams from Vanderbilt with pick 45. The 6-foot-4 cornerback will likely start opposite Stephon Gilmore and give the Patriots a lengthy defender to help disrupt opposing passing games. The Patriots definitely got better last night.Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals went hard and fast out of the gate by selecting Washington cornerback the University of Hawaii in the second round. Tavai was widely regarded as an early day three pick with some upside. He was extremely productive in college (391 tackles) but most found him lacking in fundamentals that could keep him from starting in his first year or two in the NFL. While I do believe Tavai will eventually be a good LB at the next level, the pick is low in value as he would have likely been there in the third or fourth.Their second pick of the night was Boston College safety Will Harris. While I’ve heard good things about Harris, better players were still on the board at that position with Chauncey Gardner-Johnson and Deionte Thompson. Also, the Lions need help at defensive end opposite newly-signed Trey Flowers and Iowa’s Anthony Nelson was still on the board. With end being the premium position that it is, I believe they went the wrong direction with this one.Houston Texans: Man, I just don’t understand why the Texans seem to hate their quarterback. Deshaun Watson was sacked 62 times last year, most in the NFL, and they went out and reach on not one, but two offensive tackles that no one was rushing to draft where they did.First http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-justin-jones-jersey , Tytus Howard went at least a round too early and then they selected Max Scharping out of Northern Illinois in the third who I had as a late day three pick. I watched him closely at the Senior Bowl in January and came away thinking there was no way he could play tackle at the next level. He seemed to have bricks tied to his cleats and gave up ground in the pocket almost instantaneously. No thank you.In the second round, they grabbed cornerback Lonnie Johnson out of Kentucky. Johnson has been a late-riser in the draft process who really started to gain some steam prior to this weekend. He’s a former track star who possesses excellent height and length at 6-foot-3. With their last pick of the day, they selected Kahale Warring, a tight end out of San Diego State. He’s only played football since his senior year of high-school but he was good enough to warrant a chance at walking on before going on to lead the team in receiving yards his final two seasons. He’s also uber-athletic for his size. Coincidentally, as I’m typing this article right now, I just received a notification that Texan’s tight end Ryan Griffin was just arrested in Nashville for vandalism and public intoxication. So, yeah, the pick of Warring looks even better. However, I just can’t get past their picks at offensive tackle and those two alone keep the Texans right here in the “losers” section. To the uninitiated Womens Kyzir White Jersey , the Degenerate Gambler is a ne’r-do-well that follows the Chargers with a mind for gambling profit. During the season, he’ll put $100 on the line each week, and hope not to lose too painfully much by the end of the season. How did he last fare?Divisional Round:Chargers @ PatriotsWager 1 Chargers moneyline $30 [+165]$(30.00)Wager 2 Chargers Alt-Line (-2.5) $30 [+185]$(30.00) Wager 3 Chargers Total (>20.5) $40 [-125]$(40.00)Oh. So that’s why we haven’t seen much of him since January.Well, regardless, let’s see what sort of picks he makes based on today’s information:Courtesy of BetOnline.ag NFL Win TotalsArizona Cardinals 5½Atlanta Falcons 9Baltimore Ravens 8Buffalo Bills 6½Carolina Panthers 8Chicago Bears 9½Cincinnati Bengals 6Cleveland Browns 9Dallas Cowboys 8½Denver Broncos 7Detroit Lions 7Green Bay Packers 9½Houston Texans 8½Indianapolis Colts 9½Jacksonville Jaguars 8Kansas City Chiefs 10½Los Angeles Chargers 9½Los Angeles Rams 10½Miami Dolphins 5Minnesota Vikings 9New England Patriots 11New Orleans Saints 10½New York Giants 6New York Jets 7Oakland Raiders 6½Philadelphia Eagles 9½Pittsburgh Steelers 8½San Francisco 49ers 8Seattle Seahawks 8½Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6½Tennessee Titans 8½Washington Redskins 6Super Bowl 54 OddsKansas City Chiefs 7/1New England Patriots 8/1New Orleans Saints 8/1Los Angeles Rams 10/1Chicago Bears 14/1Cleveland Browns 14/1Indianapolis Colts 16/1Los Angeles Chargers 16/1Philadelphia Eagles 16/1Minnesota Vikings 20/1Green Bay Packers 22/1Houston Texans 25/1Pittsburgh Steelers 25/1San Francisco 49ers 25/1Atlanta Falcons 33/1Dallas Cowboys 33/1Jacksonville Jaguars 33/1Seattle Seahawks 33/1Baltimore Ravens 40/1Carolina Panthers 40/1Oakland Raiders 40/1Denver Broncos 50/1New York Giants 50/1New York Jets 50/1Buffalo Bills 66/1Detroit Lions 66/1Tampa Bay Buccaneers 66/1Tennessee Titans 66/1Cincinnati Bengals 80/1Washington Redskins 80/1Arizona Cardinals 100/1Miami Dolphins 100/1The Degenerate Gambler’s Early Season Picks:Pre-Season 2019 Wager 1 Chargers Win Total (OVER 9.5) $50 [+100]Wager 2 Chargers Super Bowl Win $10 [+1600]Wager 3 Oakland Raiders (OVER 6.5) $20 [+100] Wager 4 Denver Broncos (UNDER 7.0) $10 [+100]Wager 5 Jacksonville Super Bowl Win $10 [+3300] Highest Possible Win:$400.00Well, let’s take a look here. It seems that the Gambler is in agreement with the general thought that the Chargers should be able to contend for the post-season again in 2019.In general, I have heard the Degenerate Gambler say that he hates Super Bowl win bets that are under 32/1, because there’s too much that can go wrong, and only one team can win. However, he also acknowledges that he’d feel REAL stupid if they finally win the big one and he didn’t take some action before the fireworks go off.Interestingly, he liked the idea of Jacksonville surprising the league with a Super Bowl win. His best-case scenario has all of the above winning, except, of course Virgil Green Jersey , the Chargers in the big game.Nobody should ever count out Nick Foles, and Jacksonville is a lot better on paper than they looked last year. Interestingly, Foles’ previous team is tied with the Chargers on both lists. The Eagles should definitely be contenders this year, so that’s good company to be in.Beyond that, it seems that our anti-hero agrees that Denver is just a discarded matchbox away from being an ignited dumpster fire. The Raiders, especially after this upcoming draft, will just have too much talent to wallow like they did last year. So, with the Degenerate Gambler coming back to life for a moment or two, we get to see how he and the rest of the gambling world looks upon the LA Chargers. What picks would you make with your hard-earned $100?-Jason “Making them odds look more even” Michaels
