The trifecta of Eras presents wildly divergent looks. Speaking the loudest of the bunch is a Running Shoes white/black suede pair that’s overlaid with a sizable slab of purple croc skin on the forefoot and a strip of pink suede across the heel. Refusing to be outdone, a standard checkerboard style is swathed in supple black leather. Not pictured is a monochromatic black iteration with pony hair hides. Meanwhile, the Slip-On inverses the style used on the Era, equipping a simple black base and overlaying it with classic checkerboard leather.

However, its lore was lifted even higher by 1982’s Fast Times at Ridgemont High, thanks to it being the model of choice for loveable slacker Jeff Spicoli — played to perfection by a young Sean Penn. Now, for the first time since the film’s launch, Vans is set to reissue a Fast Times Slip-On, complete with special midsole branding.


Vans has released a new Slip-On EXP Pro in “Navy/Frost” as part of its highly exclusive exclusivebooms Arcad distribution class. Only stocked at the world’s most distinguished retailers, Arcad products represent the pinnacle of Vans skate performance footwear and are extremely limited — the “Navy/Frost” was produced in a scarce run of 600 pairs.


Placing a rich blue suede above perforated blue mesh on its sturdy upper, this Vans Classic Slip On Blue Granite/True White main detail arrives via its Jazz Stripe — printed in a warm red that fades into a sunny yellow towards the heel and forefoot. A small Vans tag on the lateral collar and a red rubber heel badge handle the remainder of the branding before turning things over to the myriad of performance features.
