Just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Maria and I'm newly divorced with two boys, 10 and 7. I am really glad to have found the site and now this forum. It helps so much to know that there are other women out there going through the same thing.

Hi Maria! I'm Juliet, I've been divorced for going on 5 years. It was awful at first, but got so much better as time went on. I have 3 kids, 2 girls 15 and 14 and a boy who is 7. Even though it has been a while since my divorce, dealing with my ex is still is a huge part of my life. I am so glad to have a place to share and vent.

Hi everyone!
Glad to "meet" you all. Another divorced mama here. I've been divorced two years and have a 5-year-old daughter. I'm blessed to have gone through a relatively smooth divorce and have a friendly/amicable relationship with my ex and his fiance. However, I recently ended my engagement to the man I believed was "the one" after my marriage ended, and that was actually a lot harder on both myself and my daughter. I write a lot on my blog and it really helps to get all my thoughts and feelings out. Wishing you all the best!

Hi I'm Amanda. So glad to have found you all. I'm not divorced - yet. I have thought about it and my marriage is deeply in trouble. I am grateful for the information and support.

Hello,,
I'm new to the forums. I am newly divorced for the second time around. I have two children, one by both exes, girl age 30, boy age 13. I've been a wife and mother since age 18. I am going on 50, and I am just learning to live life for ME. In my most recent divorce, after 15 yrs of marriage, I made the most difficult decision of a lifetime by giving my ex primary custody of our son. As hard as it was, I am glad I chose to because I am enjoying getting to know ME. I have my low periods but for the most part, I'm coping very well. I have a great support system in my parents (whom have been married 59 years) and my four brothers and their lovely wives and children. In addition, I have a rewarding career as a psychiatric/chemical dependency nurse.
On that note.. I have NO intentions of ever marrying again. I haven't completely given up on love. I simply want to spent the rest of my life traveling to different countries, learning new things, and just being good to ME. I've spent my entire adult life sacrificing for either my kids or a husband; it's MY time now. Hopefully I can encourage others, with or without kids, to do the same. You don't have to neglect your children to simply "be good to yourself" and remember, the better you feel about YOU, the better you able to contribute to the world around you, in a healthy and well-balanced way. Much love to all!

Hi,
Thank you for sharing your story! I am twice divorced with three children and my oldest son (age 11) resides with his father. It was tough at first, but ultimately it was the best decision at the time. I threw myself into pursuing a career and going to grad school for mental health counseling.
When you are newly divorced, it is hard to fathom remarrying. I get that. But, never say never! Nothing wrong with taking time to live for you. After all these years, you have surely earned it. Wishing you safe travels and new adventures!

Hi I'm Cassandra and I am so glad to have found this site and this forum. My divorce is what you'd call high conflict, and there are days when things with my ex are so hard I don't know where to turn. Gives me such peace of mind to know I can turn to all of you here.

Hello! I have been divorced many years and since in and out of relationships. What is newer than my divorce is being a mom. I always wanted to be a mom so I adopted two little girls from Ukrainian orphanages. I like being a mom more than I liked being a wife!

Wow that's amazing you adopted two little girls. I'd love to hear about your experience. Was the fact that you are not married - or that you are divorced - an issue?

Hello, my name is Rhoshania. I'm new to this forum...so nervous, I feel like I'm the new kid in class. Anyway, I've been divorced for about 18 months now, which is weird to say because we continued to live together until about 6 months ago when he decided it was time for him to move on with his life. I have 3 kids: son (14) and daughters (8 and 11). Since I've been a stay at home mom for numerous years, I'm having to start all over again. It's been a rough few months. My kids and I were on our way to being homeless, until I decided to move in with my mom. The kids are adjusting well but it's been a journey. Thanks for listening. It's good to have somewhere to go and vent.
