Hi all,
I got separated from my husband. We had been married for 10 years, but from the past few years, his behavior has changed badly, he was into drugs and alcohol, and he even got fired from his work because of his rude behavior, and he even started misbehaving with me. When things went beyond my patience limit, I filed for divorce, and we got separated. We have a daughter, she is 7 years old, and is currently with me. But now he is planning to for a case for the custody of our daughter. I cannot let him take my daughter away from me. I have got a job in a school nearby, and so we are financially set now. But, we do not have any home of our own. Me and my daughter are currently residing at my friend’s place, but we can’t be there forever even though my friend is really sweet and caring. So, the next thing to be done is getting a new home. I was thinking of taking a mortgage. But again, I have never ever taken a mortgage, so I really don’t know how to start, and what the procedures are. I was just checking online to know more, and found a blog, http://www.albertamortga...-how-to-get-a-mortgage/, which has step step details on how to get a mortgage, which is helpful, especially for a first timer like me. I have heard about credit score, and that you need to have a good score to be qualified for a mortgage. I wanted to know more on this. If anyone has any experience, please advice me. Because otherwise, he may claim that I am not capable of protecting and taking care of my daughter, because we don’t even have a home, and I really can’t let this happen, my daughter is my life, and I want her with me. I know that she wouldn’t be safe in her father’s hands. Please help me out.
