I want to consolidate my debts. Is there any qualification criteria for getting approved for debt consolidation? I am on a plan to consolidate my home mortgage and credit card payments. My credit score was good when I applied for a fixed rate mortgage in 2014. But now, as I failed to make the credit card payments on time, the score gets reduced to an average figure.

I doubt whether this would affect when applying for a consolidation. My current score is less than 600. Can I consult a broker offering debt consolidation mortgages in Canada, with this score?

Do they help us to consolidate a mortgage and credit card payments? Or do they only help us in consolidating mortgages? If you have any idea, please share it as soon as possible. Thank you.
