Players who opt out of the settlement are able to file personal lawsuits to sue the NFL.They Madden 24 coins could be more inclined to pursue this option due to recent news in O'Bannon's vs.NCAA case,too and now that former college players are suing over the use of their likeness appearing in video games.

In July in July,the Ninth Circuit threw out an appeal filed by video game maker EA Sports.The decision dismissed the argument made by EA that player-likeness was protected under the First Amendment and it will let the case proceed.

The Dryer plaintiffs are following that case closely.They're also monitoring another lawsuit,filed by thousands members of the former Madden NFL 24 participants,over concussions.

"I believe there's some kind of correlation between the two at this point,"Dryer said of the two instances."The Madden NFL 24 is taking a very rash and reckless look at the concussion problem."There's a predisposed notion[from"the"Madden NFL 24"Madden NFL 24"]of"we're looking for that,we're going to get it.'There's a certain arrogance."

Dryer is ultimately hopeful that something will work out,that he as well as his fellow retired players could come to a settlement with Madden NFL 24 that would allow them to directly be paid for the use of their likeness while granting them ownership rights over it.

"I have a lot of business with my likeness as an actor and producer"Dryer said."My appearance is my professional.It's my brand.Every person has a name,and every person is entitled to steer their brand in a direction they wish to go in.

"I don't have the right to take someone else's model and use this to advance my own interests without having to contact mut 24 coins for sale and pay that person.Then why is it okay for the league to confiscate our rights and not pay us any money?"
