I found out my ex and his wife are taking a trip out of the country. I wouldn't care except I think it would be common courtesy to let the other parent know. I'm thinking of a situation where if there was an emergency I would not be able to get a hold him nor would I know where to even find him. He did not ask me first about watching the kids while he is gone but I know its his right to leave them with whomever he sees fit. Should he be notifying me of out of country trips? Do I get a say in who cares for them while he is gone? We have 50/50 custody and he is taking this trip during the time he should have the kids.
