It is most important to measure the grade point average (GPA) of a student. In high school and college, GPA helps to monitor the student skills. GPA is the great key to scholarship decisions, college admission and for your academic career.

You just simply add the letter grades and credit hours for each class and get the actual results about your GPA. If you want to calculate your cumulative GPA, add your current GPA and credit hours from previous semesters; then add this semester’s grades and credits to get cumulative GPA.

In the US, around 3.1 is the average GPA for students at four-year colleges. It meaning a B average. This average college GPA is very high, this average demonstrates that grade inflation is an extremely real phase for colleges. C is said to be a standard average grade and B is average.
