As part of their latest collection, adidas Orignals presents the
Adidas Originals Superstar Womens, an all-new take on the 80s classic. Remaining somewhat true to form, the shoe features the classic 'Shell Toe' and sits atop a textured white midsole. However, the traditional leather upper has been replaced with a moulded neoprene bootie, and features chunky elasticated straps to the forefoot and bridge. A matching leather strap stretches around the rear of the shoe, sitting adjacent to the 'adidas' tongue branding and tonal heel pull. It's finished with embossed 'adidas' branding to the heel, and tonal white stitching to the midsole.
A quick refresher: Last year, Adidas debuted the
Adidas Ultra Boost Black, which went on to basically be lauded by customers and critics alike as the most comfortable Adidas shoe of all-time. It's also inspired an enormous industry-wide trend these days towards shoes that are mostly socks. (Which, to be fair, Nike kind of started all the way back in 2000 with the Air Presto, and again in 2004 with the sneaker literally called the Sock Dart.)And what makes these particularly special is the black midsole, a first from the brand with the three stripes. While we still don't have a release date for these bad boys, we'll update you as soon as we do so that we can all pick up a pair.
Adidas just dropped an all-white version of their popular
Adidas Ultra Boost White, and thanks to influence and magical powers of Kanye West, they sold out pretty much instantly. But, luckily (or maybe not-so-luckily if you really wanted them), those weren’t even close to being the rarest of the rare all-white Ultra Boosts Adidas has on tap for your purchasing pleasure. While it’s still got a solid white upper, the Collective version features reflective surfaces throughout the shoe’s upper as well as on the three stripes. Additionally, it’s got a beautiful leather lining, lending itself to an even cushier ride than the original Ultra Boost. Lastly, it’s done up in a performance fiber called Dyneema, which apparently is awesome.
The
Adidas NMD R1 Pink sees the model that was introduced late last year already get an undated upper. The lightweight PRIMEKNIT upper features an all-over noise style graphic in shades of grey, with black accents on the lace eyelets, ankle collar, heel detailing and strap, which features ‘The Brand With The Three Stripes’ branding in white. Down below is the Boost midsole, in its traditional white finish, with additional hits of black on the midsole supports and outsole rounding things off. When it comes to big launches the NMD easily took the prize in 2015 and it certainly managed to cause a stir, which looks like it will continue well into this year with this updated model.
